I feel as if I just stepped out of an episode of the Twilight Zone! I’m sure most of my confusion is because of the maze of characters and situations this compact tale provided. Just weeks before his impending wedding is to take place, Hunter McCallum, in charge of a Non Human Protector team finds himself boggled down by what he considers insignificant cases. One the continued disappearance of bells around town is something he can’t imagine should be of consequence to a team like his. Another is the disappearance of young babies taken from homes in the most peculiar of circumstances. With a mate to please, a longstanding rift to heal and the fact that a genetic impossibility has finally occurred this Alpha will find himself busy from now until he’s finally able to take his mate in the human ceremony she craves.

I’m guilty of not having had the pleasure of reading the books that came before this little Fling. Good thing however the humorous aspect of this tale was able to bypass any clarity I found myself searching for concerning the connections of some of the characters. Like a modern day soap opera this story took me from laughing one moment to being deliciously excited the next. Even though this is a stand-alone story, I would definitely recommend readers read the first two installments to have a brighter picture of all that has transpired before this latest offering. A fascinating story that will not only have you in stitches from the comical interactions but bring you to bliss with the heated delights the couples join in.
