After he disappeared without a trace, Leila didn’t expect Dek to show up
at the restaurant she was working at to get by. Dek, the Were she ran away
with so many years ago is back and just as randy as ever. With a pack in
tow, Dek doesn’t see how they could ever be together until he learns that
Leila had his offspring. Snatching her away immediately to the home he
shares with his pack mates Grey and Lowell, he sets up dominance over his
mate. This is a mate too human for her own good and one that brings out
the beast in him. Learning to live with the pack dynamics brings out the
naughty side of Leila’s personality she hasn’t has the chance to explore.
When the dust settles both Dek and Leila will have to decide if they will
remain mates, or if Leila is meant to be with someone else in the pack.
Talk about a story that puts the capital K in kink! I never knew reading
about a shifter marking his territory could have the same result as a
potent aphrodisiac. This story is just right for readers who love it
naughty, but at the same time can look past the carnal acts and see the
meaningful sentiments that meld the story together. The electrifying
connection between Dek and Leila was so powerful you wondered how Dek was
ever able to walk away from her in the first place. An added dimension to
the story, that I was happy to see, is the homoerotic relationship between
the male pack mates. A slight warning to readers anxious to pick up the
book now is be prepared for damp undies!
