Sonja Mercer is angry.  Her no good cousin Franky has sold his half of the business out from under her.  What makes it worse is that he’s sold it to a shark by the name of Donavan Dix, who is well known for buying up small companies then selling them off at a profit.  Wanting to get away from everything, she heads to Aspen for Christmas.

Joe has come to Aspen on business.  When he meets sexy Sonja on the plane, business is the furthest thing from his mind.  Unfortunately, Joe has a secret, one he doesn’t think Sonja will like.   

When they meet, there is an instant connection and since they are staying at the same lodge, they decide to get to know each other a little better. One thing leads to another, making Sonja decide to throw caution to the wind and have a holiday fling. The second the two of them come together, the fling changes into something much more interesting.  Will Joe’s little secret come between them?

This short story (only 40 pages), is a fun lunch time read. Although the characters aren’t well developed due to the length, you are still easily drawn into their world, and wind up rooting for a satisfying ending. Plus Ms. Lowery delivers.  It is a book that is sexy, romantic, and full of holiday cheer.  I enjoyed it a lot.
