Belonging to MacGregor by J.J. Massa
Elisabetta Finley has loved Eian MacGregor ever since she was a child. It
didn’t matter that the man of her dreams was 300 years dead. She just
wishes that he could be with her now, helping her take care of the people
of Gregorstac Isle. Laird Eain MacGregor has waited for centuries for the
one woman who will love him enough to break the spell and bring him back
to the land of the living. When Elisabetta comes back to the ancestral
home, he knows immediately that she is the one for him. How can they be
together, when he is a ghost? Will he be able to save her from her
scheming cousin who wants to marry her to control the land?
This
was my favorite of the three stories in this anthology. If this story had
been a stand alone, I would of given it 4 ½ Unicorns. I loved the idea
behind the story, and I thought that the way Ms. Massa penned the story
was fantastic. The romance was hot and sweet, and I wished I could find
my own ghost. Kudos!
Reflections by Sassy Blue
Phalandria Gunn is an antique dealer who has everything she needs, except
the love of a good man. When she buys an antique mirror and chest at a
sale, little does she know that her life is about to change. Mick Galloway
has a woman, but the problem is he can only love her in his dreams. He
doesn’t know who she is or what is happening to him. All he knows is he
has to find her. Brought together by a fantastic tale of love and
betrayal, Mick and Phalandria must search the past and their own hearts.
Are they meant to be together? Or is this just a reflection of a past
love?
This
was an excellent story, well written and romantic. Some of the details
were a little confusing, the ending abrupt, but I enjoyed it overall. I
will look for others from Ms. Rebel.
Zero Cemetery Lane by Logan Blue
Nicole comes to the small town of Marrok looking to start a bed and
breakfast finding the perfect place in an old log structure out on
Cemetery Lane. Even when ghostly happening occur, including a hot and
heavy lovemaking from the resident ghost, Nicole continues her quest.
Enter Thorpe Angel, a handyman who wants to help Nicole put things to
right. While attracted to him, Nicole isn’t sure she can handle another
complication in her life. Things get strange when the two are at the house
together and Nicole finds that making her dream come to life, could cost
her… her own.
The premise of this book was interesting, and I liked the detail in the
story, but the ending was very confusing, and hard to understand. I found
the scene where Nicole makes love to the ghost, hot and well written, and
Logan Blue’s vivid descriptions of the haunting made me shiver.
