Devon Markier III has spent the last two months trying to get close to Sadie.  He doesn’t know if she is angry because he bought the practice out from under her, or if he just isn’t her type.  Either way, working next to her is slowly driving him crazy.

When a late night call brings the two vets together, Devon takes a chance and shows Sadie that he is interested in her.   Even though Sadie fights the attraction, she finally gives in and they share a moment of passion.  Afterwards, Sadie knows that it can’t happen again.  He’s her boss and she comes from the wrong side of the tracks. But Devon isn’t about let her go now that he’s found her.

This was a fun book to read.  Ms. Winter has used an old premise rich boy… poor girl, but her story is anything but old.  The writing is detailed, full of satisfying word pictures, and the romance between Devon and Sadie is hot and sexy.  Other than the fact that Sadie is hard to like, I found this love story to be enjoyable and well written.  I will look for other books from this author.
