Maxine Rodriguez is trying very hard to get her life back on track. It has
taken a while to heal physically and emotionally after her ex-husband Juan
almost beat her to death. Doctors say there is a good chance she has some
brain trauma. That could explain the last several weeks of
extraordinarily, out of this world sex with the invisible man?! A man she
cannot see but can taste, feel and even smell. He makes her climax like
never before. She tries to tell her friends in Divorcee Anonymous, but
even they give her a strange look. She learns it is best to stop talking
about it. Maybe, just maybe she is losing her mind because of all the
fifteen years of abuse at the hands of Juan. One particular night,
something very odd happens. She turns on the light and can actually SEE
this gorgeous man. Complication arise when he mentions some curse put on
him, and oh yes, he is a Celtic warrior from two hundred-fifty-two A.D.
named Kellen. Oh yes, she's not losing her mind!
This is the second installment in the Ex Files series, and I absolutely
loved it! The time travel plot, along with curses and the touchy subject
of spousal abuse were done superbly. Kellen is a man that most women would
love to have “haunt" their bedrooms and ravish their bodies nightly.
Maxine deserves a man like that, after having a horrid marriage with Juan.
There are no loose ends in this story line, and that will please many
readers. The love scenes are candle melting and very arousing.
The conclusion is very intense, and there is of course another cliff
hanger for the next book. I will be reading the third book A.S.A.P!!
