Colleen Nance is about to settle down with Kent, a man she does not love.
The strongest reason she is going to marry him is because it is what her
family wants, and deep down she desires a child. When Joel enters her
life, at a chance meeting at a hotel bar, everything changes for her. For
once, Colleen feels sexy and love. Can Colleen take a chance on love and
let down her family? Take a chance on the fact that Joel might not want to
marry her and have children?
Joel Burkhart is an all work and no play type of man. The head boss of a
very successful, insurance company leaves the option of having a
relationship very limited. When he spots the lovely Colleen at a hotel
bar, he is flabbergasted. This woman, he has been fantasizing about for
the last thirteen years, since they graduated from high school. She is the
woman of his dreams. Of course, she just happens not to recognize him. He
is wearing the wrong name tag from the convention where they meet. Joel
world is about to be turned upside down.
Together Colleen and Joel embark on an affair full of sizzling sex and
heartfelt emotion. Joel finds out the hard way that Colleen is about to
marry a man she does not even love. At the same time, Joel has never
wanted to get married or settle down with a family. Each has to
communicate with one another and search for answers. Do they love each
other enough to take a chance on a real relationship? Will Colleen have
the courage to call off a marriage that should never happen? Does Kent,
have some secrets of his own? The truth is about to be found out as the
wedding day comes closer and closer.
I
found Her Passion to be a delightful, sexy romp of a story. Colleen is
sweet woman who just wants to experience a taste of blissful, married
life. Perhaps even have a baby of her own. It is to the point that she is
willing to marry Kent. Personally, I think Kent was a callous schmuk to
put it mildly. I found no good qualities in him, and I do not know what
Colleen could possibly have seen in him at all. When a man says you have
no passion and won't even make love to you, I sense some issues ahead when
it comes to the honeymoon. But hey, that is just my opinion. Thank the
heavens that Joel enters the picture. He is the complete opposite of Kent,
and the reader cannot help but adore him. He's sexy, sweet, and smart and
everything else you could want in a boyfriend or husband. This is a
perfect, light reading contemporary that will make most readers quite
content.
