Blaze Robinson is a reclusive witch. His latest
novel invites skepticism. That cynicism arrives on his doorstep in the
form of Velda Lyman who will observe all he does for a week and writing it
up for her magazine.
Velda doesn’t do hocus-pocus and she derives
great enjoyment from debunking those who bilk the ignorant. She’s going
to take detailed notes about this so-called witch
When Blaze “reads” her mind, she demands an
explanation. His response rivals any Holmes gave to Watson. Less
skeptical, Velda discovers there is more to this man than meets the eye.
In fact, he is the “Real Deal.”
There are two problems with this story: the
sexual chemistry is there between Blaze and Velda, but the speed at which
these two fall in love doesn’t feel right. The other distracting item is
Velda’s lack of respect for The Lady.
Lena Austin had some fun with Eyes of the Cowan.
This sexy primer reveals some of the misconceptions people have about
paganism through the eyes of a Cowan (non-believer). A quick read, you’re
sure to learn something along the way and laugh, too (you’ll never look at
chocolate the same again).
