When the world believes you are the cause of all its ills, public perception becomes a nightmare for the likes of Lucas Satani. So deciding the time has come for a little outside intervention his right hand woman calls in Miranda Kavandar, Public Relations pro and exquisite beauty. Unsure how to take the weird woman who is abrasive and scary with her continued demands concerning her employer, Miranda is more than willing for the right price to consider the needs of this more than elusive client. As Miranda gets to know Lucas better, she finds herself wondering about the implausible stories he tells and unexplained little situations that leave her wondering is she’s imagining. Hopefully Lucas will be able to electrify her with his virile appetites long enough for Miranda to get to know the true being behind the tales of old, while they both attempt to prevent the whole scale coup being planned by both friends and foes of Lucas.
As a person reared with a semblance of religion I’m going to find it a little hard to describe Lucas, Satan himself, as a sexy charismatic fiend who is strong and an overall good guy. In Dana Warryck’s creative mind that is barely the icing on the cake concerning the Lucifer we’ve all been taught to dread. Twisting holy beings and designing a fascinating panorama of what might be happening as we mere mortals go through our day-to-day lives. Of course such a bizarre take on Lucifer would be remiss without a fitting heroine. Miranda is just what Lucas needs, loyal and steadfast in her desire to believe in him and help right the wrongs by the holy being humans have revered since the beginning of man. This is definitely a story for readers who love books outside the norm and are looking for one fascinating twist after another. I would however warn anyone who is religiously sensitive to give this story a pass. Yes, you will miss out on a great piece of writing, but this will prevent those who might be offended by the twisting of the bible from falling over with incredulity.
