Rani Davis hasn’t been home in six years. Now
she is back to see her brother Rory for Christmas. As a teenager she had a
crush on Rory’s best friend Klint, now seeing him again has stirred up all
of those old feelings. Going home to face everything she had run from
won’t be easy for her, but will learn good far out ways the bad.
Klint grew up across the track from Rory and Rani.
His family took them in when things got to rough for them at home. Now he
has started seeing Rory’s little sister as a woman and is too afraid to
make a move on her. Klint is a good old fashion Texas man and would never
push a lady, but in order to get Rani to admit that she has feelings for
him a push or two will be needed.
Klint and Rani’s romance puts a new meaning to
falling for the girl next door. The have a hot chemistry that you can feel
as soon as the see each other again for the first time. Along with the
added complication of him being her brother’s best friend, I had a story
that I just could not put down. The pace was just right and it gave you
the background information right when in your mind you would be asking
yourself, “what happened back then.” I would recommend this book to anyone
who has ever had a thing for one of your brother’s friends.
